Epitaondiol and sargaol (6.25- 50 mg/kg) dose-dependently inhibited the appearance of gastric lesions in mice, displaying similar values to lansoprazole at 20 mg/kg. Both epitaondiol and sargaol showed gastroprotective activity with ED50 values of 40 mg/kg and 35 mg/kg, respectively.
